TRAIN UP A CHILD

Is being overstrict the best way to raise disciplined children? Or Is it just a style of parenting that has continued to produce children who grow up battling low self-esteem, and never having a close relationship with their parents?

When God said children should obey their parents in all things but sin, I thought it was going to be easy. .... but I just learnt that it takes patience, tolerance and most of all.......the grace of God cos sincerely, most times it's HARD.

IF the never ending questions of our children wear us out, who then will reply to them?

Have you ever looked at a child and wondered....   WHAT ON EARTH IS GOING THROUGH HIS MIND?

It's not just important for yourself You will need it in other to train your children. Get the knowledge, skills, values and good character. You can't give what you don't have.....remember?

   I have been trying to understand why so many parents neglect their children's dressing these days. Some time ago I was at home and two primary school boys worked into my compound in search of someone. One of the boys was looking so unkept and dirty.  Usually, the colour of his school uniform should be white but his own was brown, obviously dirty.  I couldn't help but ask why he was looking like that. what was his reply?, "nothing", and  I was like ... Are you trying to tell me that you went to school looking like this? , he replied "yes".  I asked why and he said that he didn't wash them as he does that only on weekends. Brothers and sisters, I was shocked. You know the thing most parents and guardians tend to forget is that..... Whatsoever way you present your child or house help is the way people will rate you.  If you like, wear the finest clothes, wear the most expensive jewellery and then, let your children or even your house help look shabby, ...
